Planning your wedding will be one of the most joyous and can be one of the most stressful events in your lifetime. Here are few tips that might help along the way.
• Prioritize your event. Determine which parts of the event are most important to you and focus more time, energy and money on those items.

• Being a little flexible goes a long way! Even before the planning begins you will have strong ideas and plans regarding your event. Be open to new ideas and suggestions, your event may turn out even better than you imagined.

• Make a detailed budget and stick to it. It is very easy to get caught up in the excitement and start spending more than your budget allows.

• This is the time to pull in any favors you may have.

• You can never do too much research.

• Consult a coordinator. Their assistance may save you time and money. Most consultants give complimentary consultations, so even if you decide to do it on your own it has cost you nothing.

• Like your vendors. Be sure you feel comfortable with whoever you hire and remember they are working for you. Also be sure you get everything in writing and don’t be afraid to ask for references.

• Finally, remember it is your wedding! Everyone will have opinions, don’t get pressured into doing something you do not want. Recruit friends and family to help out, you won't be able to do it all yourself. Above all else enjoy your event, it will be over before you know it, so make sure you have a great time.
